SOFTWARE TEST & PERFORMANCE magazine, Jan 2010 special issue "Women of Influence"
I had a lot of fun guest-editing this special themed issue celebrating the work of women testers internationally, soliciting articles from 9 terrific women testers (plus writing my editorial). The cover story features 13 of the world's top women testers. You can download the magazine free by registering on the ST&P Collaborative site.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Conference of the Association for Software Testing (CAST), August 2, 2010.
"Speaking Truth to Power" (full-day experiential tutorial) - Testers are paid to deliver unwelcome news to more powerful people. Delivering bad news well takes skill, as does dealing with many of the recipient’s reactions. We'll practice, building relevant skills and knowledge along the way, including strategies, models and techniques that can help us understand and deal with difficult conversations successfully.
RECENT EVENTS
Waterloo Workshops on Software Testing (WWST) , February 20-21, 2010. Inspired by participating in TWST (Toronto Workshop on Software Testing), the annual peer conference I co-founded and co-host with Michael Bolton, Selena Delesie and Kristin Goetz founded WWST. I participated in WWST 1, and spent an inspiring and fun weekend discussing "most valued testing skill" with a group of other passionate testers.

At Europe's biggest testing conference, I led a half-day experiential tutorial "Determining Business Risks for Testing", and presented a track session "Modeling Scenarios with a Framework Based on Data" . My paper on modeling scenarios was published in the November issue of ST&P magazine. (The original version with full diagrams is on my Publications page.)
